A tailor-made yacht platform is worth asking for when none of the standard decks suits the stern you have or the toys you carry. Our platforms come in fixed lengths, all 205 cm wide, and most owners find that one of them fits. A custom size starts where the stern is unusually shaped, the fixing points sit in awkward places or the deck has to carry a particular mix of toys.
The quality of the brief decides how smoothly everything after it goes. Tailor-made items are excluded from the 14-day return right, so it pays to get the measurements and photographs right the first time.
When a standard size will not do
Start with the standard range, because it covers more yachts than people expect. The Premium Teak Platform 4.10 m measures 410 x 205 cm, the Premium Teak Platform 6.16 m 616 x 205 cm and the Premium Teak Platform 8.20 m 820 x 205 cm. For jet skis there is the Double Toy Dock, with a main section of 410 x 205 cm, a second section of 308 x 155 cm and divided arms that keep up to two jet skis apart.
A tailor-made deck makes sense when the transom is much wider or narrower than these shapes suit, or when a fixed swim platform, a hydraulic lift or a passerelle gets in the way. It also makes sense when the deck has to fit a particular tender, Seabob or set of boards, and for a beach club or villa jetty, where the shape of the water decides the shape of the deck.
What to measure and photograph
Send us the following and our first reply can be a real answer rather than a list of questions.
- The transom width at the waterline and at the swim platform, measured with a tape rather than taken from the brochure.
- The height of the swim platform above the water, with the yacht at its normal trim and loading.
- The position of every strong fixing point you would use, such as cleats and stern rings, marked on a simple sketch.
- The toys the platform has to carry or sit beside, with their makes and lengths.
- Where the packed bag will live on board, with the hatch opening and the locker both measured.
- Clear photographs of the stern from straight behind, from each quarter and from the swim platform looking aft.
- What the deck is for, whether swimming, sunbathing, dining, toys or a mix, and whether it will go out daily or now and then.
The photographs matter more than most owners expect. A picture of the stern often shows a step, a light or an exhaust outlet that nobody thought to mention.

The build is the drop-stitch fabric with reinforced PVC used across the range. The surface is one of the things that can be adapted; the standard finish is our non-slip teak-look surface, a look rather than real wood. Returns and timing on a custom order
Standard products can be returned within 14 days of delivery if they are unused and in their original packaging. Tailor-made items cannot, because they are made to fit a single yacht. That is the main reason to take care over the brief and to ask about anything you are unsure of before the design is agreed.
Timing depends on the design, so start the conversation well ahead of the season you want the deck for. The quieter months suit this well. There is time to go back and forth on the details, and if the yacht is still afloat, the waterline and swim platform measurements are easy to take before she is lifted out. The warranty runs for 2 years from delivery, and orders ship worldwide and fully insured.
Once it arrives, a custom deck is used like any other: in calm, sheltered water, tied to the fixing points you marked on the sketch, with engines and thrusters off whenever someone is swimming and an adult watching the children.
